
A lot of folks create goals or set new year’s resolutions. And right about now is when folks start bailing quick.
I want to talk about why that is, my take on goals (spoilers: I hate them) and what we can do instead to support ourselves and new things we might want to incorporate or add into our lives.
Let’s first talk about why I dislike goals. I understand that some folks love them because, “it gives them something to work towards”. And there’s even an acronym all about goal setting called, SMART. Which stands for making goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and with a Time Frame.
And this is what I feel is the problem.
